Breathe Owl Breathe To Release Children's Book/ "The Listeners / These Train Tracks".

Breathe Owl Breathe have a way of words when it comes to storytelling, so it comes as no surprise that they would create something so simple yet touching that people of many generations could cherish together.

The Listeners/These Train Tracks are a combination of music, art, and of course literature. It is a statement about the band and their desire to create things that sound nice, while looking good, and feeling real. Being close to a three year work in progress, The Listeners/These Train Tracks were created almost entirely by Breathe Owl Breathe’s Micah Middaugh inside the confines of Cavern Lantern Wonder Welding in the Jordan River Valley, MI. Since their joining of the newly reformed RAD label (which has been releasing records, skateboards, and t-shirts since 2007), the band’s release will occur on December 6th.

After writing children’s books for years in single editions, Micah Middaugh has created two stories in a single canvas-covered volume that reads from the outside covers inward, ending at the center. And it is here, in the middle of The Listeners/These Train Tracks, between a copper block printed sleeve hand by Micah and book artist, Chad Pastonik, are two new Breathe Owl Breathe songs that are pressed to black 70 gram 7" vinyl. Each cover, page, sleeve, and block was formed and printed in Michigan.

Breathe Owl Breathe has managed to create something that is not only a book, but it is also a record, and a great piece of art to stare at, listen to, and to hold in your hands.
