BUTSERFEST comes storming back to Queen Elizabeth Country Park on 17th September for its 5th consecutive year, and is poised and ready to be the best yet.
With previous acts to have graced the stage at the festival near Petersfield, East Hampshire including You Me At Six, We Are The Ocean and The Blackout, the line up for this year certainly follows in the high standard set.
Set at the foot of the picturesque (and highest peak on the South Downs) Butser Hill, the country park will be transformed into a hive of activity beside the incredible music offered. Activities, including laser quest and bungee runs, will once again be available on-site and included in the ticket price.
Full main stage line up is: Funeral for a Friend, Young Guns, Deaf Havana, Lower Than Atlantis, Bury Tomorrow, We Start Partys, Heart In Hand, Kill ‘Em Dead Cowboy, The Valiant and Follow Wyliss; with The Dirty Tricks, The Fringe and This Way Up opening the stage after they were chosen from the area finals of the Live & Unsigned competition, which the festival partners with to give rising local bands the chance to play along nationally recognized acts.
The second stage this year will be The Lounge Bar stage, including the best local bands as chosen by fans. Twelve bands competed for six places on the stage at two events held at the Lounge Bar in Alton Community Centre.
Organised by East Hampshire District Council and aimed at 14-25 year olds (although older and younger people are permitted entry), Butserfest is an alcohol and drug free event showcasing some of the best national and local up-and-coming talent.
From Tuesday 16 August until Thursday 15 September tickets will be available online and from selected local retailers for £20. Tickets will cost £25 on the door. Online tickets are subject to a booking fee.
