Manchester’s The Sanfernando Sound, aka Jason Sieu Persad, has caught the ears of countless record labels around the globe and has even been featured in International DJ Magazine. You may well know him from his bouncy electro remix of Two Door Cinema Club’s ‘What You Know’.
The Sanfernando Sound has now put his electro spin on a track called ‘The Disapperance of Becky Sharp’ by the greatly hyped indie band Kites, who Jason described as “Surely the greatest unsigned band around” on his SoundCloud post. You can listen to his dark 80s synth-pop remix of Kites here:
Kites is a four piece band composed of two classically-trained musicians (Jack & Jasper), a scholar of electronics (Richard), and a foppish pop-poet with a penchant for silk (Matthew), who are releasing their single ‘Brother’ in October this year. The band has already received a great response from the British music press, garnering comparisons to New Order, Patrick Wolf and Talking Heads.
