Embrace Announce ‘Magnetic North’ Cinema Screenings

In the lead up to the release of their new album ‘Embrace’, the band’s first album in 8 years, Embrace have announced ‘Magnetic North’; three exclusive cinema preview screenings of the band performing the new album live in full followed by a live Q&A with band members.

The screenings will commence this Wednesday in Leeds at Hyde Park Picture House followed by London’s Rough Trade East on Friday 25th April and Manchester’s A Small Cinema on Saturday 26th April.

The screenings will show a film of the band performing new album ‘Embrace’ in full along with extra footage and followed by a live Q&A with select band members. For those that can’t make the screenings, the film will be available on the CD&DVD format of the album which can be pre-ordered here – http://po.st/EmbraceStore

Yorkshire 5-piece Embrace will release their first album in 8 years ‘Embrace’ on 28th April and will release new single ‘Follow You Home’ a week earlier on 21st April, which is currently featured on the Radio 2 A List. Embrace are brothers singer Danny McNamara and guitarist Richard McNamara, bassist Steve Firth, keyboardist Mickey Dale and drummer Mike Heaton and the band recorded the new record in their own studio in Halifax over the last three years.

With 3 number one albums, 6 top ten singles, sold out arena shows, over 2.5 million UK album sales and their last record achieving both #1 album and #2 single, Embrace were on the crest of a wave when they suddenly vanished without a trace. But now they are back with a new single and a fantastic new album conveying a more raw and darker sound whilst still keeping their signature anthems and huge choruses.

After three recent secret shows in Bradford, Halifax and 4 intimate Scottish live shows, Embrace fully return to the live scene this May with a 10-date UK tour which commences in Liverpool on 9th May and culminates in London with a second night at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 21st May.
