Burns and Arveene bring together an international line-up for the launch of their new monthly Thursday event at Dalston’s The Nest with special guests Fred Falke and Starsmith!
Riding the disco surge, FredFalke has made himself one of the most in-demand remixers of the year, adding his celestial touch to heavyweights such as Sugababes, Eric Prydz and Digitalism.
With an enviable talent for creating anthemic soundscapes that are palatable for both the drive-time listeners and vinyl nerds alike, justifiably, Falke has become somewhat of a BBC darling, being featured regularly on the Essential Selection, putting in a much acclaimed Essential Mix & Annie Mac mini mix.
Having firmly established himself as a noteworthy solo artist in his own right, Falke is now continuing on his mission to re-establish disco house as France’s finest quality export whilst he’s now elevated himself to the superstar status that his pivotal position in house music history has always deserved him.
Recently signed to Deconstruction, Burns quickly acquired notoriety via several releases on 2112, a collaboration with Fred Falke (‘You Stopped Loving Me’), the compilation ‘European Sex Music’, remixes for Kasabian, Dizzee Rascal, Gossip, Missy Elliot, Hurts, White Lies and production credits on Kelis’ Flesh Tone album as well as the upcoming Tinchy Stryder single. The NME, The Guardian, The Times, Mixmag, DJ mag, and many more have said very nice things about him.
Starsmith is a DJ, producer and remixer to the stars, as well as soon to be star in his own right. He collaborated with Ellie Goulding on her Number 1 album, Lights, co-writing five of the tracks and producing most of them, and he has remixed several high-profile releases, for mainstream to more indie types, including singles by Lady Gaga, N.E.R.D, Katy Perry, Bombay Bicycle Club, Little Boots, Marina & The Diamonds, Paloma Faith, Penguin Prison, Frankmusik and Timbaland.
Most recently, he has worked with Kylie Minogue and Cheryl Cole. And now he is about to step out from behind the studio console and issue his own self-penned, self-performed recordings that will prove he is as much star as star-maker.
Join us for the launch party of London’s hottest and newest mid-week party, guaranteed to bring you the finest and most exciting DJs on the planet every month inside intimate cubby holes and caged alcoves at Dalston’s finest night spot.
