This September, Camden’s most notorious venue returns with unrivalled line-ups from Music Week’s monthly industry showcase Breakout and Bad Sex, weekend revelry from The Curiosity Shop and Ride, and the launch of White Noise, a new club night straight from Berlin. Expect both the industry elite and the hedonists of the Capital, all under one roof, in one sell-out month.

On the second Wednesday of each month Proud Camden opens its doors to the finest industry night in London. Brought to you by industry bible Music Week, Breakout premiers the most buzz-worthy acts. Having brought you the likes of Dog is Dead, The Jezabels, Lucy Rose, The Heartbreaks, and even a one-off special with Manchester Orchestra, Breakout will be returning on Wednesday 14th September, headlined by hotly anticipated indie pop singer songwriter Alex Winston, recently signed by A&R mastermind Louis Bloom (Mumford & Sons).

Also performing on the night will be Distiller Records’ Glasgow trio Sparrow & the Workshop, the “love child of Madonna, Grandmaster Flash & MIA” Mercede, Nashville’s own The Silver Seas and Jersey based singer songwriter Lloyd Yates. Providing Breakout’s acoustic sessions in the notorious stables on the night will be Ethan Ash, Rachel Simani & Loui Rose.

Entering into its third month, Bad Sex continues to establish its cult-club status with a slew of unsigned and underground live acts from Camden and beyond. Fast becoming North London’s favourite club night with over 1,000 punters each week, Camdenites have recently enjoyed sets from the likes of Ghost Eyes, Tripwires & BONES. This September, expect an energetic set from Manchester’s Brown Brogues. Straight from opening for The Kills and having been hotly tipped by Alex Turner as Britain’s next breakthrough act, the scuzzy duo will be bringing a set of noise-fuelled garage punk to Bad Sex on Thursday 8th September. Meanwhile 15th September sees London quartet Glitches taking to the stage with their electro-tinged melodramatic pop.

September also brings the official announcement of a brand new club night all the way from White Trash Fast Food, Berlin. Set to launch on Tuesday October 18th, and recently dubbed as the Alternative night in Berlin, White Noise is set to recreate Berlin’s world famous underground art scene. Echoing Camden’s own identity, the night will mix food, music, art and a unique party formula. Expect go-go dancers, circus performers, retro visuals of live music & B-Movies projected onto the walls. With no disregard to Proud’s artistic identity, the night will also hold rotating take-home exhibitions suspended from the ceiling & recreate the famed Photo-Automat booth, with its very own pop up black and white photo-booth, all set to a soundtrack of new wave indie & electro.

Tales of the Unexpected continues to pay a wild Bacchanalian tribute to the Victorian underworld with The Curiosity Shop ever Friday. The night sees live music and DJ sets from the likes of Danny Fontain & the Horns of Fury, Million Dollar Boogie, and a residency from the Dixon Brothers all alongside Proud’s very own Creatures of the Underworld. Each Saturday meanwhile sees notorious sell-out night Ride bring the best electro remixes with thanks to Jay Karim and Filthy Few fresh off the back of their summer sets at Ibiza and festivals such as Secret Garden Party, whilst Vegas themed fire-breathers and angle-grinders take to the stage in the form of the Fuel Girls to bring Saturday nights an adrenaline rush like no other.
