Sinitta has become the second person to be voted off ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 80s pop star – who was a latecomer onto the show alongside Pat Sharpe – received the fewest numbers of public votes, meaning she had to leave the Australian camp this evening (25.11.11).
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec when she left camp, she admitted she was pleased not to be the first voted out, following Stephanie Powers’ exit yesterday (24.11.11).
She said: “It’s amazing. I’m so glad I got that extra day – to leave when I’m starting to love it is such a great thing.”
Sinitta was notorious for her multiple fears on the show but she insists the reason she took part in the contest was to overcome her phobias, and she thinks she made a lot of progress.
She explained: “I wanted what happened to happen – to face my fears and not be afraid of everything. Everyday and waking up and feeling better and better, sleeping better, not having to e zipped right up [in a sleeping bag], enjoying the company.”
The ‘So Macho’ hitmaker – who is backing Crissy Rock or Mark Wright to win the show – defended her extreme reactions after she was told her campmates had questioned whether her fears were real.
She said: “I’d be a brilliant actress. I even tried to think like that, ‘Imagine you’re in a horror movie and you’re the lady covered in things’ but it was all genuine, anyone who knows me… They find it irritating.”
Meanwhile, Ant and Dec revealed the two stars polling the fewest voted tomorrow (26.11.11) will go head-to-head in a trial, with the loser leaving camp forever.
