St. Lucia – debut mini-album out 14th November

A blog sensation with the tracks All Eyes On You and The Old House Is Gone, St Lucia releases his debut mini-album on November 14th through the New York label HeavyRoc.

The name is not accidental: to bathe in St. Lucia’s melodic depths is to be submerged in a euphoric rush of shared experience and universal emotions. An escapist’s paradise, St. Lucia has created an album of uplifting melancholia inspired by a family archive of ciné film and old photographs.

A child-hood in South Africa, and a coming of age in the Liverpool and New York, it’s all catalogued here. The mirror on the shelf’ in All Eyes On You, ‘a voice from the after life’ Before The Dive and in pledges to ‘remember’, ‘never forget’ and ‘take the past and future by the hand’, flashing by in sun blasted and danceable pop.

The Old House Is Gone

Based in Brooklyn, vocalist/producer/multi-instrumentalist St Lucia began his musical journey in his home country of South Africa, much of his music is inspired by old family photos and the exotic environment in which he first began to write. Having stopped off in the UK and settled in New York, St. Lucia works out of a home-studio, taking part in almost every aspect of the recording process, painting with a technicolour brush a patchwork of melodically rich and emotionally vivid songs.
