We hear time and time again that confidence is king when trying to develop yourself and grow. There are many ways to change the way you act, the way you dress and much more.

How about the small things that kill your confidence? These are everyday things that we don’t really think about, but add up and eat away at your confidence.

So here are a few confidence killers that could be getting in the way of your growth, and how to fix them.

Your weight

Skinny, or overweight. Both have deep routed self-conscious demons running around in our heads. This can rule your life if you don’t address it. The good news is, you can easily fix it.

Both involve exercise and food. And they’re both so similar it’s insane. Eat the right foods for your body, and lift weights. It’s really that simple and it will help your confidence more than anything.

Bushy eyebrows

Many guys think taking care of your eyebrows is too girly. In reality, taking care of yourself doesn’t make you any less of a man. It does, however, make you look less tidy and clean.

Just keep them trim, and pull out the ones right in the middle that make up the wonderful monobrow. You can even go and get them trimmed and died professionally if you’re hyper-conscious of how they look. It can really change your face.

Sweating

It’s natural, so don’t worry about this one, especially if you’re super clean already. The summer can make you sweat more than usual, match that with a light grey top and you’re in for a wild ride.

To reduce the amount of sweat pouring out your pits you want to choose the right fabrics. The more breathable the better, like cotton and linen. Where possible, wear an undershirt, especially if you’re prone to a lot of sweaty action.

Yellow teeth

Your smile is your confidence weapon. If you’re conscious of how your mouth is looking, then your confidence will suffer. When you feel something affecting you, get into action and fix it.

Monitor what you’re eating and drinking to reduce the amount of staining on your teeth, and use an electric toothbrush every day, at least twice. Try to stay away from too many chemicals, and opt if you can for some kind of baking soda-based toothpaste.

Oily skin

Sometimes your skin can get quite oily. This can lead to spots, which ultimately hits your confidence. There are multiple factors at play for this and there are ways to reduce the amount if you’re prone to super oily skin.

Wash your face at least once a day, and twice if you have time. Go for products with fewer chemicals as possible and try to get an oil-free moisturizer. There are oil wipes available too if you’re really struggling. Just carry a few with you on-the-go and you’ll easily have the option to wipe away any confidence-killing oily skin.

Spots

Related heavily to the above is breakouts on your skin. Even when you have just one small spot on your face, you can feel as though everyone is looking at that one spot.

The best way to maintain and prevent spots is to keep your diet clean and get into a routine with your facial cleaning.
