Look around your local supermarket and store. You’ll see more and more products with the V-Label which certifies them as vegetarian or vegan. It’s a great sign (literally) that times are changing and we’re becoming a world that cares a little more about the consequences of what we eat.

There are now over 30,000 V-Label-certified products. This is a combination of companies adapting to the market and adding the logos, as many products are already veggie and vegan, and also new products being created on what feels like a daily basis.

It’s mostly positive. However, it’s always good to keep an open mind when it comes to these certified products. They may have the green tick. Yet, they may be terribly bad for your health. Just like many meat and dairy junk foods.

So it’s good to keep your eyes out on what you’re throwing down your face, no matter how tasty and cruelty-free they are. Who knows, maybe one day all products in our stores won’t need to have the logo to prove it.
