The Grammy-winning rock band Alabama Shakes has announced their return to the stage after an eight-year hiatus. The North American tour kicks off on July 16 in Chicago and will include stops at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Greek Theatre, as well as appearances at several music festivals.
Lead vocalist Brittany Howard expressed the band’s excitement for the tour and revealed that new music is on the way. “We have a bunch of new music that will be released soon,” Howard stated in the press release. “We just can’t wait to experience that ‘feeling’ when we start playing those first few notes.”
The tour will feature a variety of special guests, including Bahamas, Shannon & The Clams, and El Michels Affair. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets starting February 10, with general sales beginning February 14.
Alabama Shakes’ last official live performance was in 2017. The band’s return marks a highly anticipated moment for fans who have been eagerly awaiting new music and live shows since the release of their acclaimed albums “Boys & Girls” and “Sound & Color.”
