I WANT POETRY – For the Night

We wrote this song during the “lockdown”, when the silence of the night seemed to cover the world. Everything changed this year for so many people, and this song is for them. In the dark of the night we can be free and find new strength. 🌗

I’m caught in my head
and I’m tired of it all
call me crazy
don’t say no

It feels like dying
I’m trying
to keep it all away
my hands are tied

Oh isn’t it clear I’ve had enough already
Even though I tried to mend it

I’m going down
for the night

Won’t you turn this mood around
oh no-one is ever gonna change that
and you’re good and you cope
I don’t want it
so take it all away
my mind is wired

Better keep me company
pull the blinds so I can see
when the reasons to be down
