“Recording with Jesse was a great summers day, where I had found a handle of Tito’s at an Airbnb I had cleaned and the sun was shining. Berg was driving down the street and came by to take a shower, no idea why, he doesn’t even live here. I was drunk the whole time we recorded “Heartbeats”. We all had a bunch of laughs. Maybe I shouldn’t have drank so much, but my weird humor was well received by the dude crew.
This song was constructed by a piano loop I had made, and Jesse needed a real song, so I just plopped this bad boy out. It’s about when you are cuddling(or whatever) someone but thinking about someone else. Rude, I know.
We made a sick music video where I ride my motorcycle in a graveyard (cuz that shit is cool) and then slow-mo feathers getting dumped on my head (also drunk) while dancing around Brandon’s apartment at 4am.
I had a great time, would do again. Jesse and team worked their butts off on this and I’m stoked it’s a real thing.”
