Since Stephen James, swapped professional football for a career as a model his rise has been pretty hectic. With tattoos that cover almost all of his body, he has become the iconic face of leading fashion brands like Philipp Plein and has millions of followers on social media.

He moves in the world of designers and supermodels and his unique tattoos have turned him from a model to an iconic influencer – Gods, Queens, artists, symbols and geometric figures gathered as he travelled around the world now swirl around his physique.

For his newest project Stephen James has chosen Barcelona to launch his own tattoo studio and barbershop – Elijah – in a cavernous and ultra-contemporary space in the heart the city that he has come to call home.

He’s put his personal stamp on the interior design – with some of his emblematic tattoos reproduced in a mosaic. The space features carefully selected designer furniture such as Japanese Belmont chairs along with six tattoo cabins resulting in a beautifully curated space in which no detail has been overlooked.

Elijah debuts with a line-up of resident artists and aims to expand his stable to create a world-renowned studio. The salon also stocks the exclusive male grooming line House 99 by David Beckham – the former footballer and international style icon – which is not available anywhere else in Spain.

Invoking the spirit of the classic barbershops, the resident stylists at Elijah offer world-class techniques, exclusive products and highly personalised experience to their clients.
